Sistem proteksi terdiri dari peralatan CT, PT, PMT, Catu daya dc/ac, relai proteksi, teleproteksi yang diintegrasikan dalam suatu rangkaian wiring. Disamping itu diperlukan juga peralatan pendukung untuk kemudahan operasi dan evaluasi seperti sistem recorder, sistem scada dan indikasi relai (announciator).
