This course offers intensive training coupled with hands-on exercises presented by an experienced instructor. This class is designed to teach mechanical troubleshooting skills. Books, handouts, charts and other reference materials are provided for all participants.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course except a willingness to learn and a desire to participate in an instructor led, “hands on” course. This course will cover mechanical systems from simple systemsto very complex industrial mechanical systems.

Performance Objectives

At the completion of this course the participant will:

• – Understand the theory and application of mechanical systems.
• – Be able to select and troubleshoot a variety of belt drives.
• – Demonstrate knowledge of the various mechanical gearing systems used.
• – Have a thorough understanding of chains and chain drive systems.
• – Understand correct ways to select and maintain mechanical drives.
